• Identity verification: a scan of your driver's license, date of birth, and selfie image processed by our identity partner.
• Payment information: billing name, card brand, last four digits, and payment tokens issued by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Booking data: vehicle, dates, pickup/return locations, insurance selections, and rental history.
• Device & usage data: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, and referring URLs.
• Communications: SMS, email, and support messages you exchange with us.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your account and rental bookings.
• Verify identity, eligibility to drive, and insurance coverage.
• Process deposits, balances, refunds, and dispute chargebacks.
• Send booking confirmations, pickup reminders, receipts, and service alerts.
• Prevent fraud, secure our platform, and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Improve our fleet, pricing, and website experience.
• Comply with legal, tax, insurance, and regulatory obligations.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to deliver rentals), legitimate interests (to secure the platform and prevent fraud), consent (for marketing SMS and optional cookies), and legal obligations (tax, accounting, and law-enforcement requests).

4. Sharing Your Information

We share data only with the vendors and parties we need to run the business:

• Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention.
• Twilio — SMS delivery for booking confirmations, verification codes, and reminders.
• Persona — driver's license and identity verification.
• Your own auto insurer — we may contact the carrier named on your declaration page to confirm coverage or report a claim.
• Hosting & infrastructure providers under written data-processing agreements.
• Law enforcement or courts when required by valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We keep booking, payment, and identity records for as long as required for tax, insurance, and dispute resolution — typically seven (7) years from the date of your last rental. Marketing preferences are retained until you opt out. You may request deletion of your account at any time, subject to the retention periods above.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21 (our minimum rental age).
